Counseling is an opportunity to be seen and heard…

…perhaps, for the first time. A place where although the world may categorize you as “other” or “not enough”, you can feel worthy of being authentic without fear of being judged or demeaned.

I strive to be graceful, compassionate, and kind even when telling the truth can be difficult to disclose. I ensure that honesty is a gentle gift rather than a harsh blow with direct, yet, graceful words. Either way, in your healing journey, you will not be alone and will always be met with empathy.

Counseling is an opportunity to develop authentic relationships. As Brene Brown has said: “courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” Counseling is more than finding ways to heal the most broken pieces of ourselves. It can be a place of courage and joy to show up and develop a relationship that celebrates you in your highs and your lows. Let's begin our relationship into your counseling experience together with courage!

ABOUT ME

I am a 5th-generation Guatemalan-American, older sister, and bilingual. I have a heart and passion for people who feel othered or have been marginalized by society. Growing up in a primarily Hispanic neighborhood, attending a predominantly African American high school, and then attending a predominantly white college in one of the most affluent neighborhoods of our state has allowed me to see the stark differences in communities. I strive to keep my experiences in mind and care for those around me no matter where they come from but to accept them as who they are.

"I am an introvert but when it comes to getting to know others on a one-to-one basis I get excited! When I am not at work, church, or school, I am spending time with my family and dogs. I am such a lover of animals although I only have dogs as pets. Quality time is my love language, so I enjoy spending time with myself reading, listening to podcasts and spending quality time with others playing pickleball or watching reality TV shows.
