Asking for mental health support can be intimidating.
You can expect that I will walk the path with you with compassion, support and guidance. In session with me, I believe building rapport is a top priority to create trust and foster change.
I have a special interest in women’s health, especially during the prenatal, perinatal and postpartum stages. Infertility and pregnancy loss are issues especially close to my heart. We’ll work together to find your strengths as a parent and a partner to help guide you to a wholly confident you. This time in a person’s life is full of change – mentally and physically – so I work with you to be gentle with yourself and accepting of all of the changes. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) are the number one complication postpartum that roughly 1 in 5 new parents experience (yes, dads, you can experience them too). Your child deserves the best version of you, and so do you.
In addition, I enjoy working with relationship issues, trauma, and anxiety. I offer a safe space to explore who you are, who you want to be and how we can work together to reach the best version of you.
I have found focusing on practical solutions and strengths to be beneficial. Taking the time to approach the journey with compassion, and a willingness and belief in change can help us to see true growth.
Personally, I am honored hold space for people and foster the trust it takes to experience the journey towards healing. I look forward to working with you!
ABOUT ME
Outside of work, you can find me taking a barre class, enjoying time outside in nature, or spending time with my husband and two children: our son and our daughter, our little rainbow baby. My kids help remind me of the simple pleasures and to stay grounded in the present moment.
I love travel, photography, strong coffee, dark chocolate, and a good board game. Wyrmspan, Villainous, and Catan are some favorites between us and our friends. I’m a big fan of fall and winter because it means I don’t need an excuse to wear a comfy sweater and snuggle up under a blanket with a cup of tea and a book (I’m always looking for new recommendations!).
